Hi all
In this post i would like to show you some brandnew pictures.
The name of the project is "photographer".
Why?
Of course…..the models are photographers
It was a lot of fun
So , have fun with the post today and dont forget to write me your feedback.
I ve got the Idee to this project when i saw the cover of a german magazine. There was a picture of facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.
I was thinking about, how much fun it is to take pictures of photographers. And it was a lot of fun. Take a look:-)
By the way….. dont forget the PHOTOSHOP WORLD in Vegas. I ll be there as an instructor. I have two slots. One with the legend Russel Brown and one slot alone of my best techniques in contrast, details and color manipulations.
I hope you will like the post today and it would be great to get your feedback. If you have any questions about the pictures feel free to ask. No secrets here:-)
If you like to see more then 5 hours of my best photoshop techniques take a look at my tutorial calvinize (right here on this blog)

This series is very Jill Greenberg like. Was this the photo that inspired you, Cal?

But i was not sure.

She’s awesome. Uses way too many lights though
dieter and jay are the 2 for me i really like this is some nice work
about time the photographers had their pics taken
Excellent photos Calvin, wish I could be there in vegas but a trip across the country is not in the budget right now haha.. Keep the post’s coming, we enjoy them very much. The lighting setup for these shots, 4 lights?
I actually like your work here more than Jill’s (not that I don’t love Jill). Greenberg does some great stuff, but your photos just look sharper and obviously there’s more emotion.
Hi all and thank you
My pictures were done with only 3 lights.
Two striplights from the back and a octa from front.
The color and the spot in the background is done with photoshop.
It takes only 3 min.

Thanks for the reply, excellent work. I am not easily impressed but these are very pleasing to the eye.
I want to learn this effect! Do you have a tutorial for it?
I really enjoy your work!! Thanks for sharing!
Ei great pics,

sharpening and dodge and burn? I will pay for this technique Calvin.
A new dvd tutorial is wanted from you!!!

Great images, a tutorial would be great!
Love your work would love to see a tutorial on this especially the shiny skin texture from just three lights very sweet indeed.
Calvin is the coolest guy around, I’m enjoying so much your English tutorial, especially the way you are describing some of the events related to the current photo you working on, it’s so much fun
…(and I don’t think you need to apologise in every chapter about your level of English, which by the way, I think, is near to perfect) . This set up of pictures are great, by the expressions on their faces seems like is real fun working with you , I really like the skin tone you achieved here.
Calvin what an amazing retouching!!!!
Please make a tutorial about this !!!
Great job as usual!!
Amazing pictures!!!
A tutorial about post will be excellent!

Hi Calvin, thanks for your tutorials. I’ve purchased your course from your site and am in the process of going through all your classes on Kelby. Which training with Kelby is this technique in? I’ve watched the beauty, grunge and am going through the composite one right now. I would really like to learn this technique?
